ok i am 16 and want to go to canada with just my uncle and me do i need a passport or do i just need my parents permission

You will need a picture ID, birth certificate with the raised seal and a notarized note from your parents, or a passport and a notarized note from your parents to cross the border.
Passports aren't required yet but they make travel across borders easier and will be legaly required soon.
