I restock tackle every winter and this year I really need to get my jig supply back in order. I would like to know the jigs that you all think have the best quality hook as well as finish and style. Have been using Northland fireballs primarily but am not too convinced with their hook? Any recommendations on where I can order bulk quantities?

fin-techs are awesome and i also really like lindy's techni-glo max gap w/ or w/o fuzzy grub..like the asprin shape, tuff paint and wide gap of hook.

Lindys Max-gaps have become My favorite (specially the rattleing ones) :rock-on:! Northlands Mimmic Minnows run a very close second. BPS's XPS that Gary & Kieth designed used to be REAL good, but the last couple of years they have "cheaped" them: changed the hook - and the paint lasts about one trip :censored:. C-man

Knuckle balls, Love those jigs.
I like Jack's Jigs Hawg series with a 1/0 hook.

If you are going to fish the spring reef bite on Erie I would check out Capt. hook's flash and killer jigs.

I use BPS ball jigs w/T-tail holder in 1/8 & 1/4 oz for cold water Eyes w/a few that go over 10 lb each year.
http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=7&pictureid=144 IL Jigs for the cool water bite ... I like to use a pair 12-14"es apart & tap the bottom in the early spring before pull season & then again in the late fall. A pair of 1/8 oz for under 4' & a pair of 1/4 oz for over 4', both w/BPS tripple tails.... 3" tails for 1/8 oz & 4" tails for 1/4 oz jigs
Used to dip them in FF II Shad, but now add a small sliver of cut Gulp when the water is below 50 degrees...

Whatever jigs you stock I would also add the Patterson's REEL*BAIT jigs to your box.
The Red Tail walleye flashers are deadly and the jig hooks are made to hold up, and hold a hog.

Fin-tech Nuckle Ball and Zone-R jigs are top notch. Great colors, wide hook gap, perfectly balanced with a teeter-totter action, and stands up when it is set on the bottom. The Zone-R jigs really cut the current and allow you to fish a lighter jig and still stay vertical. In my opinion, there is no better jig on the market.
The best jig is the one that catches the most fish.
In many cases, all that you need is a plain round lead head jig in weights of 1/8th, 1/4, and 3/8th.
If you need some color, add a tail of the needed color.
You can buy these jigs from many many different vendors by the ton.
No need to spend big $$$$$$$$ for a jig.
You just need a piece of lead with some hair on it, a tail on it, a piece of bait on it and go catch fish.
Take care

I agree with REW
My favorite Jig color is lead .... everything else just gets added on
I have found no difference using the ones that are made to catch fishermen.
