Anybody else have a problem unscrewing/removing this thing?
The red plastic 'tabs' keep breaking off. Is there a tool available that engages all 6 of the tabs? I always remove and inspect when winterizing. ($40 for a new fuel filter)

I checked all over for the right tool before I changed mine. Couldn't find any info for a special tool on any website for Mercury. My owners manual says to use a screwdriver between the tabs. Yeah right! I broke off all the tabs on my fuel filter. Then I found the tool, on ebay, as previously posted. I should have looked on ebay first? I ended up using a expandable disc brake piston tool to get mine out. I didn't think it would ever come out.
