The Bass Pro shack is a Clam/Trap model, it comes in regular canvas or insulated. It says Trap/Clam right on the canvas.

The shack is red, very "seeable". The inside is black for those worried about sight fishing.

Essentially they've made a shorter sided sled and removed the seat apparatus to cut the cost. From what I saw, it should work fine for most anglers, but look over the sled number one if you do a lot of towing with atv's and sleds in snow. For anglers on the southern side of the ice belt it might be a little better design than up north. It would definitely be less weight with the shorter sided sled and no seats for those that only walk out a portable.

What suprised me were their rods. They have a new line of rods that have an adjustable rod length mechanism. I was pretty skeptical but surprised pleasantly now that I've held them. It would not be for me on the smaller versions, but on the predator type rods for large eyes, pike, muskie and especially Lake Trout it looks like they might have really hit on something for guys that search for fish outside then settle in when they're more on a bite. (You can shorten the rod when heading into your portable)

The handles are nice and narrow, too long for my taste in the light actions but the rod, handle and action feel really good on the heavy duty rod when you imagine jigging a big tube for trout in 50' of water.
