Just looking for some opinions on the CVA Powerblet aero tip bullets. Is the penetration as poor as I have been reading?

I never used the CVA brand but did use the PowerBelt brand.... maybe these were made by CVA. Had no problem with penetration but did have problems with accuracy. I switched to Barnes All Copper Spit-Fire TMZ and my accuracy is much better. Have not had a chance to check out the penetration but they are supposed to be very deep penetrating. Also, with all the news about lead poisoning in venison I have not only switched to all copper in my muzzle loading but also in my 30.06. Shot one doe last weekend with the 06 and so far can not tell the difference between copper and lead as far as penetration.

Hope this helps!

Been using hollow point powerbelts (not aero tip though) for several years. I love them.

I've been using the Powerbelts with the Aero tip with no problems. I don't shoot over a 100 grains of powder with them because the accuracy starts to get off with the gun I shoot which is a CVA Kodiak.

I have been using the 348 grain aerotip 50 cal. for 4 years now. i will not shoot any other. I have always shot through the deer, i shoot 150 gr. pyrodex pettets in a TC BlackDiamond and have always knocked the deer right off thier feet. They load very easy. I am shooting 1" groups at 100 yards. Best combo i have ever hunted with. Hope this helps
