By this time last year Lowrance was "dumping" their last year products at some really bargain prices but I haven't seen any such offers yet this year. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I just got a great deal from Jolly Ann Marine on 2-520c's and the accessories to network them. Give Wade a call and he will fix you up.

Lowrance is introducing the new HDS sonar line, but I have not heard whether they will discontinue the LMS and LCX sonar product lines. If not, there may be no "last year products" to sell. Does anyone know?

Cabela's put a number of Lowrance units on sale yesterday or today. Pull up there web page and see if they have what you want.

If you check at a certain store up here in Walker, you'll find some brand new LCX 110's complete with transducers, and gps for $999! $1200 OFF! no deals on other models yet, I am looking. Dave in Walker

Thanks, Dave--now that's what I am talking about! bet we will see the 112's and 113's at the same pricing or close fairly soon! do you know what the difference is between the 110's and the 112's??

Dave in Walker

No don't know the differences, I have a 110 myself, I paid nearly $2000 for mine, it was flawless until I started putting in new updates and it went wacky, now that I am have to the beginning software it is great. The store got a hold of 30 some of these units, give them a call, they will know the differences.

Mr. Ducks, I'm waiting for the same stuff! Where is it? I figuired they would be discounted with the new HDS models. But I've seen nothing. Dave in Walker, where have you seen the 110's on sale? I think I'd be fine with one of those.

This is the link to Reeds in Walker. The main difference between 110 and newer 112 is that 110 does not have orange Ethernet port and has blue nmea 2000 port not red.

They have good deals easy to deal with. I got a hummingbird 797 side imaging for 300 off this summer. I called to see if that was right price. Lady answered I said I wanted to place order she transfered the call and I got Jeff Arnold (the owner) I that I was transfered wrong but he took order answered few questions I had the unit at my door in two days.

There is no better place in the nation to buy electronics than Reed's in Walker MN. They know the product inside and out and are priced very fairly. I will not buy from Cabelas or another bigdog store to maybe save 20 bucks. Most of the time Reeds will beat their prices anyway, besides why not let a family owned business make a profit instead of the corporate jet flyers! By the way, you can call and talk to Jeff Arnold(The Owner) anytime you want, he will take an order just like any employee and you will learn alot during your conversation also. Reed's knows more about the Lowrance products than Lowrance does. P.S. I am a Lowrance reseller on my boat packages so I can sell the graphs over the counter also but I do not even try to compete with Reed's. I have sent customers over to Reed's to pick out their electronics and then bring them to me to have them rigged. The reason you are not seeing any "dumping" of the 08 product is that there is only about a 20% margin in the retail of these products anyways, why would a business sell product below cost when the items are still quality. If the LMS-520 was a great unit in 07 why would it be worth 50% of the price in 09 because of the new stuff coming out? Just my 2 cents and it was free! Joel

Thanks again for the lead on Reeds, I was debating on going with the 110 or waiting for the 112 deal to come. Went to the Reeds link, and they are out of stock now of 110's. Guess I'll be waiting for the 112!
I have a feeling they won't be on sale like that for a while, a long while since it is still considered a "current" new model. I think the super deals are on the discontinued models, not necessarily the new year model.
We'll see! I'll let you know if I find anything.

I called Reeds today and talked to Jeff about the 110 I ordered. He said they wouldn't be in to Reeds till end of this week and ship out after that. I think all the 110 he had coming in were sold. I was going to ask him were he was getting them from, if they were new or recon units, but he seemed busy.

As for discounts on newer units they did have rebate on them this summer 112 for -$300, 37 for -$200. I tried to get 37 from Cabela's at end of rebate but they didn't have a single one in there system. I asked the marine manager at cabels's when the new lowrance were coming out? This was about a month ago. He said that they had a meeting with lowrance rep and there wasn't anything new coming from lowrance. Wrong.

Im plan on getting HDS-8 to use as depthfinder and 110 as gps. I used the broadband last year it was nice, Im kind of mad I spent $600 on it when now it built in on new HDS. So if anyone wants a broadband I have one for sale.

Rumor has it Lowrance sent these units out to the wholesalers so just not one or two outfit would received all the old /persay units. This made it possible for the little mom and pa store to buy em to sell too.
I in my opinion I think the big operators will blow the units out for haif price but the little stores can keep the price up still maybe knocking off $200.-$300. Its tough to sell them cheap when they still own new ones from an earlier purchase on the shelf.

If Reed's, Gander, Cabelas would have them only it would be great. Sorry Wade forgot about your place.
E-mail ordering is a needed option.

I ordered a couple of 110s from Reeds at the ice show and got a call today that there will be no more. They didn't get enough to fill all the orders they had. It's sounds like these units where 4 years old but still new and came right from Lowrance. I'm kind of bummed I missed out on that deal.

A few years ago cabela's had a bunch of X15 or x17 after they were discontinued too.

I talked to reeds on Friday and they said that they got them in on Thursday and shipped the orders out Friday. I ordered mine on thanksgiving morning. Now I have to figure out where to get money for new HD lowrance that are coming out.

Here's the link to Amazon, I don't understand it, but I had been watching it for a week, and the price dropped about $100 or so, about every 3 days, it got to $1,465, and I went for it, thinking it would go up soon. Well, the day after it went to $1,818. I don't understand it? I have the receipt to back it up...
Keep an eye on it, or try contact them to see if they will honor the price on Christmas Eve.

Here's what I have book marked...

Regarding Lowrance deals, might want to check your local Gander Mountain. The store in Grandville, MI had the 522, regular $649.00 for $499.00 last Saturday. It was written on a board so maybe it was a local store thing only. I saw someone post that was an employee at the store in Grandville, so maybe he could chime in. Not sure if he was on this forum though.

On a limited budget but see that Cabelas has the LMS-480 for under $200. Is this a good deal? Haven't seen much as far as reviews for this unit.

Check Reeds out of Minnesota, great deals and dealing on the phone even better, and free shipping. called them, made a better deal then even there already low price that was beating the others. Order the units on Wed, and they were at the house on Friday. 520's 522's 27's etc.

I think the deals are/were there, but the old stock is now very low and limited. Not many of these 08 deals left to be found is my thinking.

That is good really, because it means possibly a push upward for a strangling sporting economy. New stock will be needed to replace the old.

Don't expect anyone to overstock anything in 09, inventory will be lean as lean can be.
