I am looking at a 1998 19' Sylvan Eliminator with a Johnson 130hp. Anyone have any experience with this boat?

Had a 94 19' Sylvan, "Pro Guide" I believe was the name of the model I had, same hull I'm sure. Very good luck with mine, had it 9 years, no problems at all. Replaced a live well pump was all I remember fixing. Had a 150 Merc with a 15 hp Merc kicker, boat would really move, close to 50 on a smooth day. Not the greatest ride in rough water, but it always got me there and back. The guy I sold it to is still using it. I always had inside storage, so the floors etc. stayed in good shape. Lots of room, good boat to fish out of. I took it up to Lac Seul about 15 times, about a million walleyes came over the side. Good Luck

I had a '94 16' Super Select for 12 years with no problems. That boat was a back trolling, forward trolling, salmon fishing, smallie fishing, ... you get the idea. I bought it in North Dakota, took it to Tobin, SD NE, moved to Michigan for two years and took it out on Erie (on good days)! I miss that boat!

I own a '98 18 ft Eliminator. Purchased used 1 year ago. has 90 ficht and 9.9 kicker (both evinrude). Had problem with the 90 this summer but worked fine once it was repaired. Had the rig in Canada June '08; was on the water 12-14 hrs/ day for 1 week. Sturdy boat with good ride. this is the first boat of any size I've owned so my experience is very limited. It's very functional and has lots of compartment space. Except for the engine reapir needed,I have no regrets.

I have a 1990 18 1/2 ft Super Sportster with a 115 mariner, which I have owned since 1995. This has been a great boat and I would not hesitate purchasing another Syvan.
