Is there a locking device on the T-8? It has power trim and tilt and seems to be locked at the half way point. It will go up then half way down but not all the way down. Still makes the hydrolic noise like it wants to go down but stops.

Yes. The knob is on the right side of the motor. (Looking at the motor from inside the boat)

Most of us use that knob when trailering.
You push the knob in and tilt down onto it for that.

When I trailer with mine, I put it in the full down position.

I have a Yar-Craft 1995 TSC. If I put my T8 in the full down position, I would be making a nice trail of sparks until the skeg was gone. I use the knob. Happy holidays to all.
