It has to be 24 volt.

hi, i think the 101lb thrust ones are 36 volt. I will check into it.

Minnkota never made a 36v genesis. only 80lb 24v.

My genesis is a 74 lb 24 volt and love it except its sucks the batts. down kinda fast. was on the boat when I bought it 2 years ago, heard alot of problems people had with them and I think they were all user errors mine works great.
