I have an 03 single axle Ranger trailer that got ran into at the boat dock. The tongue is bent slightly and the insurance company replaced the trailer so I am stuck with a flawed trailer. Does anyone know is this trailer worth anything or should I haul it off to the junk yard. Thanks

My wife bent the tongue on my dad's trailer years ago. We hooked it up to the truck, parked it next to the curb by a light pole, hooked a chain to the tongue with a come-along and tweaked it staight. Worked very well. You could try it and maybe sell it for a little profit.

The trailer should sell, advertise it and it will sell.

If the insurance company replaced the damaged trailer, how are you "stuck" with the damaged one???? Why don't you just put a free ad on Craigslist, advertising a free damaged Ranger trailer to the first person who shows-up with a tow vehicle?

Or....
If the parts/tires are interchangeable with your new trailer, take the old one apart and keep the good stuff for repairs later...just in case.
Then sell the rest of it for scrap. That should bring you a couple of dollars. :)

Easy fix for any trailer. take it to a local welding and fabrication shop. They can replace the tongue for about $100.00. If they try to charge anymore than that ... tell them to take a hike. If you are in the Dayton, Ohio area ... send it over to me.

Can't imagine its not worth a couple hundred bucks. Not sure what the trailer looks like but worse case could be made into utility trailer. I am sure if you advertised it on free spots if would go fast.

Should be a pretty simple fix just tie to post and pull with chain like the other said. Then again, could sell it for several hundreds and anyone could make it into anything etherway.
Worst case scenario could be like what my dad did, he decided to move my old boat with his tractor loader and somehow bent the hitch real good about 45 degrees. Ended up having to slice the side to bend it back and weld formed plates to it. Yea didn't have insurance on that. If you're not wanting to mess with it, just advertise it, there's always someone that has some use for it.

Sounds like an easy fix we put new tongues on trailer all the time. It well worth the cost of repair, you would easilly get that money back if you were to sell it after.
