Is there really no oil filter on a T-8? Someone told me that there was a filter that required disassembly of head... What's the real story?

Not sure about the T8, BUT on my 9.9 Yammy there is a fine screen filter, I just unscrew it and clean with gasoline every fall when doing my yearly maintenance/winterizing.

There is a oil strainer in the oil pan of the motor only and no external oil filter filter.
