Just wondering what combo of motor, prop & mounting hole you have been satisfied with. Also what did not work to you're satisfaction. I'm running a '98 1895 Storm DC with a 200 Merc EFI mounted third hole up turning a 19 Rev 4 @6000 RPM WOT with just me in the boat. The prop I bought second hand from a guy on this site & was not informed that someone had ground down all of the cupping. Buyer Beware! I'll be getting it re-cupped this winter so my RPM's will surely drop. Overall I can see that for my needs the Rev 4 will make me happier than the 21 Tempest it replaced. I lost some speed but gained a bunch of hole shot, rough water handling & slow planing ability. I fish Leech Lake alot where the wind is not shy so to be able to find that perfect speed while encountering the waves makes me smile. How about you boy's, what setup do you like or dislike?
Here's a thread of mine from last summer/fall, take a gander and it may help with your questions.

Yup, that's a good thread, thanks. Is there anyone else that can share their experiences, & do'nt omit the engine height on the boat.

I also have a 98 1895 storm but mine is a side console. Mine is mounted in the forth hole but I also have a 6" jack plate. I just repowered with a 225 Pro XS so I only have about 20 hours of seat time on this motor on a 4 day trip in Sept. I'm running a 21 pitch Trophy plus, 5800 rpms, 56mph, 2 people, rear livewell full and about 40 gallons of fuel. I'm looking for a new prop or have this one reworked because I need more bow lift. Next spring I'll start jacking it up until I start losing water pressure or start blowing out.
