Looking to possibly make a trip to Quinte while we wait for Erie to freeze. Can anyone recomend a guide? We have all our own gear but would like to cut down on the learning curve, having never been there before. Have quads but transportation from the guide would be nice one less thing to take and worry about. Any help or suggestions would be great. TIA

Scott

Papascott, Rick Somerville,is known as Hardwater Charters and is the best guide at Quinte. He knows the Bay as well as anyone and fishes everyday to stay on the movements of the walleyes. He's out of Belleville, Ont. which is right on Quinte. Go to www.quintefishing.com and you can get all kinds of info and can contact him there.I don't have his number but go to the message board and he'll gladly give it to you. Tom

Sommerville does not provide transport you need your own. The first 14years I knew him he only walked out or got ride from someone else. He fishes Big Bay and downtown Bellville area. You can go out yourself off Pt. Anne just stay away from the neckdown areas on the ends of Big Bay. Not sure how much ice they have right now but I was told they have been out. And fishing was good for the big eyes.

Go to the Quinte site from "Thomas O" and click on discussion board. Next click on Quinte Fishing 'Beg N Brag' Discussion Board. Plenty of info and you can ask about the guides from the locals.

Rick is the best guide out there and he does provide transportation, I went out with him last winter no monsters but some nice fish. He will put you on top of the fish. Good luck.
