hello,
i am purchasing some fold down seats to mount into a 16 foot lund bench seat boat and i was just looking for some input on the mounting of the front two seats(3 total). is it best to mount them on the centerline of the boat or offset from center? thanks

If you have a tiller boat, I'd mount them a little to port, so you get a better view from your drivers position, and balance the boat a little better, assuming that you sit over toward the starboard side.

Good question. I used to run tiller boats exclusively, small ones and big ones. Never liked seats right in the middle for safety reasons. Before you mount them, you might want to make a few trial runs on the water with passengers in various seating positions. Figure out which seating pattern is best, then mount the seats. Driver visibility is a priority.
Thanks for the question.

Where ever you mount the seats be careful if your gas tank is in the floor !!!!!!!!
