Hi All, I am not much of a troller, mostly jigs and rigs. I do troll occasionally, but have never used boards. I'm Looking for opinions on the best smaller in line boards that may best suit someone fishing alone, that would be easy to handle and effective for crankbaits such as shadraps,HotnTots etc, trolling depths anywhere from 7ft to 25ft. Would also like one that works with 10lb mono if that is possible. I mostly fish the Wisconsin River + its Reservoirs. I have seen the Church brand, but not sure what models may be best. I welcome any opinions on the subject.(got cabin fever bad already !) What say you, good people??

I know most guys tend to use the Offshore boards with the flag conversion and upgraded clips. They are pricey once you get the board($35-39) then the flag system($18) you will have $50-60 per board invested.I just bought a pair to try this summer.I also have a set of the red walleye boards($25-30) that I have used some and like.I like the front clip on it but I need to find or make a flag system for them like the Offshore boards have.I haven't really looked yet so maybe the Offshore flags will work will have to see.Curious what others have to say because using the boards and learning them is one of my goals this year.

The Offshore kit will work on the church boards I would have used the church flag kits but couldn't find them locally and didn't want to wait. The wire was a little long but I just added a couple of extra beads. I use the church front clip and a red offshore on the back.

That's good to know thanks. How do you think the church vs the offshore boards compare?Does one not pull lures as well as the other.Any disadvantage to the church board?
