Was just wandering if anyone ever goes to Lake of the Woods during the last part of august? I would like to plan a trip this year. If any one goes up during august I would like to know your opinion on the fishing and were you stayed. Thanks

I've gone up to LOTW last week of August / Labor Day weekend many times. I've stayed at various places mostly on the north end. Once on Oak Island. Fishing is a little different than in June but it's still good. Seemed like all the walleye were about the same size on the smaller side (16" - 17") and that's ok. Anytime you can get up there it's a good time to go.
