Devils Lake question?

Am planning a trip to Devils Lake, ND this summer and was wondering if someone could give me a good idea of what month would be the best time to plan this trip? We aren't real concerned about catching wall hangers, lots of action with a possibility of a nice fish would be nice. I was thinking along the lines of late June or early July. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.Thanks.

Late June to early July is a great time! You can catch fish slipbobbing trees, pitching cranks, trolling cranks, and livebaiting structure. Lots of fish and big fish found in the trees during that time.
