Rivers Edge Resort

I want to take the family to Rivers Edge Resort in Wisconsin dells for a week of fishing the river and the Dells atractions.We will be going in July or Aug.Hows the fishing at that time of year for any spieces? Hows the resort in terms of boats and moters? Ahy help would be great!Thanks in advance!!! Terry

Never stayed at the resort, but I'll drive out of my way to stop and have a sandwich at the saloon. I really enjoy the decor & the fish tanks. Could do without the GB Packer stuff, though (LOL!)

Excellent choice for a family trip with lots to do besides fishing. I would recommend taking a guide out the first day. He should turn you on to fish, then you can use the rest of your trip catching fish and not searching. Used to take the family tubing and watersking. Also great for swimming, find a sandy shore and set up camp for the day. Food is great with a wonderful bar and bait shop. 5 minutes for the Dells. Bring lot's of cash.

Nice place to stay,caters to fishermen. Great tackle shop,restaurant and bar, ,they have their own launch. They have some nice pontoon boats,otherwise their fishing boats are common 14ft aluminums with ,as I recall 9hp motors. Nothing fancy.

Never fished it at that time of year,If I fish there, it's usually in March-May ,or mid October and later. You will be at peak vacation time,and there will be plenty to do for kids in the area,but the downside is that during the day at that time of year, the river is jammed with the tourboats,duckboats and the big jetboat running around doing doughnuts. Will make it tough for any serious fishing,as the area is quite narrow and confined. I am not sure how late they run all those boats ,they may stop after 6pm,not sure. Best fishing will be very early or evenings.

I stay there for a week every July. They have cabins that range from nice to extravagant. I have been doing this for about 6 years now and never fished there. The traffic on the river that time of the year from the Ducks and the jet boats will make fishing very, very difficult to put it lightly.
