I have been hunting pheasants since I can remember and this year as I turn 55 I finally won a long tail contest. 25 and 1/4 inches. Got a 25.00 dollar gift cert. from my local bait shop so I am happy. Mike

That is a good tailfeather, I was a part of over 500 birds being harvested this year and didn't see a one over 25 inches. But here a few years ago I won a shotgun contest with a 27.5 incher. We shot one over 26 inches that day as well and I believe the only over 25 inches I have ever witnessed. Congratulations
