Well, after waiting only 3 months we finally get some snow. At least it didn't interfere with my fishing this season. Is there anybody out there who can give me a report as to how much snow has hit the ground around the west central part of millelacs in the past 24 hrs? I'm going to use those god awefull expensive toys in my garage at least once this season, and tomorrows the day. Any snow depth reports I can get for Garrison, Aitken, and Brainerd would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and yes I have tried looking this info. up on the web, but there really isn't any current info. up on the boards yet. Thanks to any and all who can enlighten my day.

Hi Eyewitness,
I'm actually here at the moment. We were on our way to Red Lake and got here last night to pick up the fish house. I am a bit crabby. We've been watching the weather and calling up the the resorts up there - and pacing around all morning. Finally about 1:45 we had to
admit it was just best to stay here and go next weekend. I'm on the west side just south of Eddy's. They got 7" on Thurs and another 7" or so last night -- and drifts about 2. There is plenty of snow. The wind is something else, though. I'd be very careful if you are planning on snowmobiling on the lake.
Have Fun!

Aside from the wind what's keeping you from going up to Red Lake? I don't think they got that much snow up there. If I could have talked my buds from the TC's to come up this weekend and fish Red that's where I'd be too. There's 10-12" on the ground here in Grand Rapids , but there isn't any base, so I guess Millacs it is. Thanks for the info.

We called Rogers Resort and they said they had white out conditions and were plowing but were going to quit because they couldn't see anything. The guy I talked to said he wouldn't recommend anyone going out today. We actually had the truck running with the fish house attatched at the time. We'll try next weekend -- or maybe tomorrow!!

Buddy of mine got caught in that wind/ice storm, said he had a heck of a time after he could see his hood. Blowing like a SOB, break out the asbetos long-johns lol. Expect around 12 to 14 inches. Some pretty big drift jumps if thats your thing. Have fun, be safe.

No, we never made it up there on Sunday, had to work on Monday. But I wanted to!!!! We'll try again this weekend. Hope the minnows last --
we'll get fresh ones on the way up - just in case. How about you? Did you get to take the snowmobiles out on Sunday? They were everywhere!!!
and it looked liked everyone was having a blast.
I'll give a fishing report next week after we get back. I hope the weather behaves this weekend.

Sledding was really good on Sunday. We managed almost 200 miles. Man I'm still sore....Might hit Red this weekend also. Where do you go out of? Have been out of Westwind and done well. Sure wish I could get a 2+ lber though. Maybe next time out.....

We'll either go out of Hudec's or Roger's. We'll head up Saturday and get set up and ready for the evening bite. I'd like to get that 2lber, too! We'll be in a 7 x 12 fish house on wheels, tan with a blue stripe around the middle. Maybe we'll see you there.
