Bob
Have you ever done a show on the spring open water fishing on the Rainy River around the Birchdale area when the river opens up around late March until April 15th? If so is it archived anywhere so I can see it?

Bob,
I see you were at the entrance to Gold Portage. Did you go back into it? It is one of my favorite places on earth! Absolutely beautiful. And when conditions cooperate can be a place for big fish.
Woody is an interesting character and does a good job; plus can be very entertaining.
I enjoyed the show.

We've never been at Birchdale in the spring, but did a fall show there several years ago. We have done the spring bite just downstream from I. Falls.
Regarding the Golden Portage. I'm not sure of the name of the area we were fishing, but if you're referring to the small river we fished, we didn't go back in too far. We stayed in the narrows area. Good fishing. Rainy Lake is a great body of water, very scenic, lots of fish, all the right stuff for a great trip.
Thanks for watching.
