Is anyone using this boat? I'm thinking of getting a boat mostly for river fishing (Wisconsin Riv., Illinois Riv.) I'm on a badget around 20K.
Any opinions would be appreciated.

Wish I could help on the 1760DV. I have a Stratos 385XF, and I love it. Lots of room, and the 99" beam gives it a real solid, dry ride. I thought about a smaller boat at first, but had enough people tell me about one-foot-itis, that I decided to bite the bullet and get the 18 1/2 footer. Boy, am I glad that I listened! I have no problems on the Illinois River when I want to fish that, or on Lake Michigan and Lake Erie in the spring or fall.

If you want any more info on the 1760DV, check out Cabela's in Hammond. They have a couple there, and they'll be happy to answer any questions. Ask for Glenn in boats.

I drove this boat last summer and I think it certainly has merit for some uses. I found it wasn't as dry as I expected, but for one or two fisherman would be ample. I think it would be a good riverboat and has plenty of storage, handled nicely and I thought was priced reasonable. I am a Ranger owner and so have also driven the 1760 Ranger angler. Of the two, I think the Ranger 1760 feels much bigger (also has a bigger price tag) I would consider the stratos for what I use a boat, I fish primarily on the Missouri River in North Dakota. The one I drove had a 115 Yamaha on it and it handled nicely with that.

Thanks for your input. I'm trying to decide between this or something like Alumacraft Navigator.

Give Glenn a call, they have Alumacrafts there also, why not do a side by side comparison? 219-845-9034
