So what are peoples favorite spinner patters to make? I like using 2 or 3 beads infront of the spinner and enough behind the spinner so the blade doesn't interfere with the hook. I usually run red, green, red in front then red, green, red, red, red. I also use quick change swivels so I can vary the blade colors and sizes.

I use five 6 mm beads behind the blade, then a 4 mm bead in front of the clevis to keep the knot from hanging up on the clevis.

Favorite colors are pink, white, chartreuse, and orange.

I'll usually use two beads of one color, then a single bead of a different color (usually gold, copper, re, or white), then another two beads of the same color as the first two beads.

Last year the pink/white combo was on fire most of the season.

I've never thought of a spinner rig, especially used behind a bottom bouncer, as anything near a finesse presentation. I view them as being only slightly less subtle and slightly less effective than dynamite.

But if you want to obsess about it, the colors most visible to walleyes are chartreuse and orange. Those colors are almost the only beads I bother with. I have enough stuff, I don't need to complicate bead storage.

ruby red and white pearl, are a staple, but also purple and green, if fishing goby feeding fish, orange and green for perch feeders, 6mm and 8 of them so when i run #4 whip tails they don't reach the hook.

All I can say is that in being "forced" to go for a week at a time every year with a group who do nothing but spinner fish.....I/We've learned that bead and blade colors are just as critical for spinners as it is for every other method of fishing for 'eyes. And it ALWAYS seems to be the case that I do not have that hammered brass, silver, or even black blade that the other 5 in the group are nailing them on. Or whatever. Sometimes the others take pity and loan me the favoritie color combo of the moment. And then I too start catching fish.....
So now I have tons of beads and blades, and tie up a huge assorment of various color combos every winter....plus bring it all along so I can tie up whatever is needed to continue to "match the hatch".

If you're casting and working a harness it certainly is a finesse pesentation.

Often overlooked, my favorite is black. Usually with a small gold bead on each end. Great for Erie!
