:cry:Has any one had a problem receiving the rebates that Lowrance electronics 0ffered in August and September of 2008. I have been told that the promotion was so good that there rebate department fell behind. They recommended that it would take 8-10 weeks to process, it is now 22 weeks? The rebate was for $300, this really helped me decide on a 113 any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Got mine about 2 weeks ago. Purchased the depthfinder in Aug '08... So yeah they are a little behind.
Bought a new unit in late June, and am still waiting for mine. Contacted them twice and got the run around. If it doesn't show up in the next week or two I'll be contacting our attorney general and file a complaint.

I would continue to hound them --- and also invlove your state's AG office.
Lowrance may be having some $$$ trouble??? They do not seem to be discounting their 2008 lineup to any significant degree (despite many complaints and a 2009 lineup that seems way more advanced). Something seems very amiss right now about their whole situation. Look how Hummingbird closed out many of their 2008 items, even the smaller SI units? Why would Lowrance continue to sell items like the x135 at full retail? Why still market the 510 near the price point of the new HDS 5X?
Of course, has anyone actually seen or used one of the new Lowrance units? -- they were to be out in Dec, then Jan and now Feb ...
I have nothing against the company, but in this economy, when they stop paying rebates, refuse to market much older technology at lower price points and have yet to introduce new products when promised, then I think there is reason for some concern.

aww i love it...................... Companies sub out rebates....... it is the job of those companies to manage them.....
as far as product discounts that is up to the retailers........ the retailers don't want to loose there butts on them. say you had 1 mill in inventory and it was your money know there is 10 percent markup on them would you want to loose 200 thou discounting them 20 percent. good thing you aren't in business
as far as the 135 it is in the 09 line up as i have a catalog right here in my hands!
once again people with out the facts........ gotta love it

My X-15MT went out and they don't repair them any longer. They offered a $250 coupon toward the purchase of a 28hd or new HDS8, said they'd mail it to me. They gave me a consumer number to track it. Nothing came. I called and had to leave a voice message which they promised to return in 48 hours...nothing. Called again today...left another today which they promised to return the call in 48 hours. I have never had so much trouble trying to spend over a $1,000 with some company in my life. It's a mystery to me what's going on there. I failed to mention two calls where I held on for 40 minutes one time and over an hour another without any pick up just that d__n voice answering system.
