Have any of you ever converted a enclosed trailer into a ice fishing shack? For a while I've been pondering finding a 10 or 12ft long enclosed trailer or whatever a 4 wheeler will fit in and converting it into a shack and modifying the axles to allow it to drop to the ice. The end result would be as simple as trailering it to your fishing lake, unload the quad and hook it up to the trailer itself and pull it to where ever on the ice, drill the holes and drop the axle and fish. Almost alot easier than messing with a hut, at least I think. Any of you ever done anything like this?

I did this with a 4x7 trailer works great2940once that door is shut and window is closed it gets pretty toasty.I want to change a few things this year. Might biuld a actual door in the back ramp is heavy and if you have holes outside it would be easier to have a door

There is a trailer sales near here that would put drop axles on a couple of their cargo trailers in the fall and sell them for ice fishing. They quit doing this and started selling Zack Shacks. Now they have nothing to do with ice fishing.
