Lowrance Upgrade

I have a Lowrance 520C and I'm going to upgrade to a larger unit. Can I purchase a head unit only and use the same GPS and puck? I'm looking at 37C, 38C, 113C and or GlobalMap 7200. Thanks.

Yes you can, anything that used the 3000 antenna is good to go for you.

But when the LCW 4000 comes out it is better. 1 meeter accuracy quicker recovery.

the new units went up a hundred bucks, considering the technology inside them that isn't to bad! the hds7 stayed the same price at a grand.

the lgc 4000 puck is a 5 hrz puck so it updates 5 times a second versus 1 time a second giving you much more sensativity.

I have one coming, as soon as I get my hands on it I will report back on the mapping, and when we get soft water hopefully by the end of march I will report back on the sonar with pictures and all. I have a 38 HD to compare it to as this is my main current unit.

I've had nothing but awesome luck with Lowrance units I've owned 7 on 4 different boats and I'm happy with every unit I've ever ran...this unit should be awesome.

I know alot of guys wait until they are a proven unit but I'm taking the plundge, I told my dealer as soon as he gets them put one on my boat because it's at the dealer right now.
