I am using my Lowrance 332 for ice fishing and recently put my GPS puck in the ice pack to use the mapping chips. It seems like my battery life has gone down. I'm wondering if it's the power draw from the puck or if my battery is going bad. Obviously the puck takes some power but does it take enough to make a difference?

Get a 12 Volt 9 Amp Hour Battery
Put a switch on the Antenna power or the Power cable, it will draw current as long as it is wired to the battery,Thats why it need a switch.

I could put a switch in-line but this is for ice fishing and there is already enough stuff packed in the little portable bag. Right now I just open up the bag and disconnect the puck from the unit when I don't need it.
