Rumors have it that the Western Basin of Lake Erie now has another exotic specie to join the Round Goby, Ruffe, Spiny Water Flea and Fish Hook Water Flea. It's name is Julia Davis better known as "Juls". She has been seen wondering the area lately.

The total impact of this new specie will not be determined for a period of time. But from what we hear you can count on her to play havoc with the walleye population.:)

WELCOME JULS

Heheh, Thanks Captain!
The folks around here are treating me like they have known me my whole life. I've made some great friends already...that's pretty cool! ;-)

I couldn't be happier! I'm looking forward to some great fishing this year. See ya on the water!

Juls, I just received my order of Reef Runners from Den's and he put in a recent publication from Offshore Tackle in my box. There is a photo with you holding a big eye. You are quite a pretty lady. Good luck on the tour this year. By the way, I way looking to replace the pads on my Offshore line release snaps and noticed that the OR-16 release now comes with a pin in the middle of the pad. I have the old OR-16s, but will the new pads with the pin in the middle work on my old snaps. Thanks in advance.

You can use the replacement pads for the new OR-19's. They brought back the old OR-16 for the folks who like the line to release. They couldn't keep the same number or color of release to do so, so now the old OR-16 (without pin) is orange and called the OR-19.

The red OR-16's will remain with the pins.

Juls
p.s. Thanks for the compliment by the way. ;-)

Juls, I'm easily confused. I want pads with the pins. It doesn't look like the OR-19 pad has the pin. Will the new pads for the new OR-16 (With Pin) work on the old OR-16 releases? TIA

Your old OR-16's do not have the pin in them? Ok, I see what you're getting at now. No, the pads do not have the pin in them. The pin is built into the mold of the release itself. The pads have a hole in them so the pin sticks through the pad.

Email me, and I will help you out with this one.

Thanks for your response. To get the pins, it looks like I have to buy new OR-16 releases. I was hoping that the new pads(with pins) had a pin on one pad and a hole in the pad in the opposite half of the release where they joined. I already own two of the new snapper releases, was just hoping to make a comparable release if the new pads (with pins)would work on the old OR-16 releases. I hope I didn't confuse you. Thanks again for your help.

That's correct. You would have to buy new Or-16's to get the pins in them...OR, you could just email me...wink wink! lol
