yep...went there kinda late today...set up at dusk....was gonna go to the opposite side of the lake from the public beach but noticed two other fisherhuts there so i just went east from the public beach where i park my truck camper.....i didnt get a hit...tried a few things with my lights.....forgot a seat....wind was blowing thru my tent...so after suffering for about 2 hours or so i just packed up and left.....i still want to try that lake over by the jacuzzi thingy.....not sure if i'm heading anywheres tomorrow...maybe rogers park but i dont think much is goin on there...steve

Thanks for the info. I'm off next weekend and wondering where to fish around South Bend. Maybe Pine in Laporte,or Hudson. Wouldn't mind finding some perch,Hudson used to have some to the East of the public beach. Be cool to put out some tip ups on Hudson for Pike also..

i got a bunch of very tiny perch in front of the beach a couple wks ago...very small ones tho...

Stevie, Lakewood-Rogers is still giving up crappies at night in that back bay. Consistency is tough with a friend hitting it 3 nights last week and ending up with 14 one night, 11 and then 1. Shorewood is treating me good - I just wish I could fit my recliner in my fish shack. Once I get the recliner in, installing the 60" plasma will be next. The valpo chain is giving up a lot of fish to those putting in the time. I thought you got a vex? Please remember when you turn your vex on, the transducer MUST be in the hole! Good luck!
