I rewired my trailer and now I need to hook up my new LED lights to the wiring harness.

This connection will be underwater everytime I launch or load my boat.

What is the best way to make a this connection?

Thanks.

they make a shrink tube that has a waterproof glue in it, it melts around the joint when you heat it

works great for this

like PJ states shrinkwrap with glue type sealant inards , or

this is what's been used on alot of outboards over the years from the factory. soldering wires for me is not the way to go. makes them brittle at the ends of the joint but the liquid tape will help with that if you do solder.

Go to Napa or Car Quest auto parts and get the heat shrink crimp connectors. They are filled with adhesive. You stick the wires in, crimp it , heat it with a lighter or heat gun (works best) and you can see the glue melt inside and seal it up. You can also get these at radio shack. I have had many wiring problems with corrosion using regular heat shrink tubing and I have had no problems with these connectors.
