I have an opportunity to buy a new lowrance X-65 for $150. This unit would be used for the bow. Just checking if anyone has had any problems with the unit or success.

In the line-up of the x's, this is in the middle. Not much difference
between them all. Set her at manual mode, 75% sensitivity, 30-33% grayline, max chart speed, upper and lower range so average depth is in or just under the middle of the screen. It'll be fine.

I have two of them and they are a good unit. Three years old and I haven't had any problems. Lots of adjustments and easy to use. I have speed and temp on the one at the console. I find 600 watts and 160 pixels to be adequate. That's a good price.
