Hi
It looks like Mother Nature is gearing up to give us a pretty nice weekend here on Mille Lacs! Daytime temps are expected to hover around the freezing mark. As the weather begins to stabilize, hopefully the bite will begin to improve. With the warmer temps, don't be afraid to poke your nose outside the house and drill some holes outside. As we preach regularly... mobility is a must!
Walleye action has been best at "prime time" - first and last light. The mid-day can prove to be long, as the perch action is spotty as well. Fish the mud flats in 23-30 feet with a small rattle spoon tipped with either a fathead or Eurolarva. Green is a good color followed closely by blue. The northern bite has been best in the bays along the west side - large suckers are turning most of the fish.
The snow cover has compacted quite a bit. There are still some hairy spots for the ATV's, but snowmobiles are zingin' around everywhere.

Don't forget to check out our weekly "shop special" at http://www.lundeens.com/shop.html .
Once again this winter we will be renting FL20’s, power augers and underwater cameras. Be sure to reserve them ahead to assure availability.
Finally, In 1952 I was in the Army and had just arrived in Frankfurt,Germany. I had no money and asked about getting some. I found out that it was easy to get to a pawn shop by calling a taxi. I got a taxi (that was an experience in itself) went to a pawn shop and pawned my watch. I wrote down the street name and number so I could get back. On payday I called a cab again to get my watch. I gave the driver the street and number as 2245 Eienbanstrausa and he burst out laughing. Eienbanstrausa means "One Way Street".
Have a great weekend,
