I need to get a fishfinder for my 16' foot boat. I've got 27c mounted on my big boat, and really like them. I've already set up the 16' boat for one of the 27s but I don't want to be swapping them back and forth. So, what would be a good unit, that's not going to cost a fortune to add to my smaller boat. Doesnt have to be Lowrance. Just one that works decent and maybe have GPS in it. Thanks

You can get a Lowrance 522 with GPS for $499. If the 27c works for you, the 522 likely will also. I have almost the same combination- 27c on the big boat and 527 on the 16'.
I saw the $499 price at Cabela's and they have units in stock- with a little shopping you may do better. If your budget is higher, you may still be able to find the 27c for $700-$850. Don't wait very long on either.

Cabela's in Rogers MN has the Lowrance 522C in the bargain bin for $389 as of Saturday.
WOW that is a fantastic price. Does anyone know if individual stores ship, or if you can request a matcing low price when you call the main number for phone ordering?

Bargin bin is only that store. They won't sale a new unit for that money. It is usually for items that have been returned. They don't warranty items bought out of bargin bin, but I've been told by an employee that sometimes that isn't the case.
