The jack on my 1998 Shorlander trailer is in need of replacement. I've looked in Cabelas, BassPro and online and have found only the ones that have the universal frame brackets. The Shorelander's have it bolted directly to the front winch mount assembly. Other than ordering a Oem jack from a Shorlander dealer does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement jack specifically for the Shorelander. Either a 1000 lb or 1500 lb with a 8" wheel?

Snopro,

I had mine replaced at the dealer and as I recall what they did was to take an identical Fulton or other jack and just remove the jack assembly from the bolt on frame mount and put it on the Shorelandr frame. It takes a good size split ring tool to take the jack assembly off of the mount and then it goes directly on the Shorelandr frame assembly. I think I could have done it myself so you may consider it.

My jack has two bolts thru a washer with the two nuts on the inside of the winch bracket instead of the large snap ring. I know I'll have to remove the winch bracket from the tongue to get at the two nuts.

I've had really good experiences in dealing with Shoreland'r parts directly. Give them a call 800-859-3028.
