My 332 has been having trouble finding position. Most of the time it takes forever to find position and then it constantly loses / finds position. I have not had any other trouble with this unit. Would a "hard" or "soft" reset help? Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance

see if "WAAS" is checked. This can cause such a problem.
WAAS does not work well in the area I boat, and I will
get the same messages you are getting.
If that's not it maybe one of the Lowrance experts on this
board can help you out.

Does you antenna have a good view of the sky?

I have the same problem at times.

What I do is a SOFT reset: press pages & power at the same time. Hold button down until USA
map appears.
This will reset without losing saved information. This has worked every time for me.

You can also do a Hard reset, but will lose saved info.
For a hard reset: press and hold Zoom in & zoom out AND power at the same time.
until USA map appears.

I laminated this info along with how to make WPT and Icons(In case I forget) on a small
piece of paper,2x2", and have it hanging from the key.

I would also suggest checking the Waas. I had this issue last season.

Have any of you upgraded the software on your 332c's? I have had the same problem sometimes with my unit not finding a location and have also had problems getting my Navionics Mapping to come up on the unit. I have to sometimes slide my Navionics card out and then back in with the 332 on in order for it to recognize the card. I was wondering if the software update would help?

I had the same problem with my unit. After waiting on hold with lowance for about 45 minutes, the tech figured out that I had a defective cable. Lowance sent me a Y-cable that replaced the buss network cable and I never had a problem since. My unit locked on fairly quickly then would gradually lose signal (I had updated both the unit and the gps).
