I'm looking to buy a nice fish house on Mille lacs lake. Does anyone out there know of someone selling one . I would have to leave it year round on a resort etc. and have access to it year round for fishing. I have stayed at Liberty Beach at a friends shack several times and am looking to find a location similar to this on the lake. Please let me know if anyone has any leads. Thanks

I have a shack, which me and a carpenter friend built about six years ago and is located at Twin Pines resort. It has a shingled roof with aluminum sauffet, facia and vinyl siding. Inside is trimmed with cedar and paneling. Sleeps (4) and has (4) holes. Skids are white oak and the entire thing was built, very well. If I remember correctly it is about 10 x 12ft. Heater is a 33,000btu propane, which works very well. It has two long/narrow windows on each end and a steel front door and has good carpet. Shack is wired for 110v power(exterior plug)with ceiling light and wall outlets when used on shore through extension cord. We switch the bulb to 12 volt and utilize a gel cell battery when on the ice. From an appearence standpoint it has to be in the top 10% of shacks on Mil Lacs, good enough for the wife to sleep in. Need 3.5K for it to cover the materials, etc... Storage paid through next January Post a reply if you are interested...

Yea -- was going to fish otter tail -- but my land deal fell through-- didn't get it-- so I am looking to rent a spot on a good walleye lake - I know Mille lacs like the back of my hand, so I was going to invest in a fish house so I have a place to stay when I go there. Or I was looking for a trailer on a good walleye lake to buy and put on resort somewhere. If anyone knows of a setup like this< I'd be interested in looking at it also. Either way I need a place to roost when I'm fishing, preferably a place that the wife will enjoy also.
Any help appreciated.

I have an ice house at flagship. I keep it in summer storage in the "Refuge". Flagship has some of the best summer storage on the lake with the marina and all. If thats where you end up let me know because its hard to find an open spot there. I could talk to the guys and see if they could slip you in.
