I hope this doe not sound too silly... What does "XX mph GPS" mean?
Are you measuring the speed with a "GPS"?
Educate me guys!!

most speed paddle wheels on graph are not that accurate. Or the speed from speedometer on boat(usually higher-why?). gps is more accurate and realistic.

yes, that is exactly right. Marine speedometers are notorious for being incorrect. GPS speed measurements tend to be right on. So, measuring speed with GPS tends to carry a little more weight, especially at slow trolling speeds. Take a GPS in the car with you some time. Mine matches my car speedometer exactly.

Not a silly question at all! If it is silly, I am guilty for asking much ‘sillier’ questions here.
