Can you use anything else than epoxy to mount a transducer in the hull?

Thanks in advance,

We are trying some Loctite brand ahesive to re-mount it to the epoxy that is there...the first set didn't take and I didn't want to battle it out. Will do some homework on the acoustic silicone.

Thanks!

I used 100% silicone sealant (caulk) on an alumiducer Last fall. Application temp down to 10F. Got us out to fish with depth sounder until after Christmas. Epoxy is avalible from Vexilar. See their website. Epoxy is very temp sensitve. The chemical reaction will not take place when its cold. I think you need 48hrs of warmer temps. If the silicone is ok in the spring I wont change it.
Call vexilar if you need help. They were great to deal with. Phone # is on website along with lots of good info.
