How slow do you think you can troll down to with a 75???..I have had 60hp's and the slowest I could get them down to was 2.5...You may have to use socks or drop your bowmount down and turn it sideways...

If you troll close to home you can do it w/a prop swap to the main ...just watch your revs so you don't red-line when on-plane...

BTW ~ it would be nice if there was a low-range/troll shift lever on 'main fishing motors :exactly:

If you find your motor is tuned correctly and you want to troll slower you might consider the Nauticus trim tabs with the flip down trolling feature. My slowest trolling speed was around 2.1 and with the tabs it is now down to 1.3. Trolling bags are a pain in the arse so are buckets. Have only run the tabs for a year now so I can't speak for reliability but so far they are great. Just make sure you put them up before moving to the next spot.

With my e-tec 40 hr, I'm still over 2 mph at "idle" or trolling speed. I just normally use my trolling motor to get the speed I want. Lasts all day and let's me troll down into the .6 MPH and slower range.

I have the same motor on my Lund 1660 Classic Sport. It can be programmed by an authorized tech with the software to troll down to 600 RPM--yours may already be set. The idle speed when the motor is in neutral is lower than the low speed when in gear. I notice about a 200 rpm increase when I put the motor in gear. At first I had a 15p prop that would only troll down to 3mph. I dropped down to a 13p prop and got down to about where you are now, 2.2 to 2.3. To go slower I bought two 15" trolling bags from Amish Outfitters and run them off the front cleats. I can now get down to 1.3 to 1.5 mph. Give the bags a try..they are the cheapest and simplest option I have found.

You could also try a lower pitch 4 blade prop, they will troll down lower than a 3 blade would.

Have you ever thought of getting a trolling plate? I know they are unsightly but they do work. I couldn't get my F80 to troll under 2.5 so I put on the easy troller plate and it brought it down to 1 to 1.5mph

have your dealer set the idle offset to -100 that way it will idle in gear at the same speed as it does in neutral
