When are you considered a PWT pro. If the average good walleye fisherman with a 19' deep V boat would like to fish as a pro in one or more of the pwt events what does he need to do. Does he need a certain type boat or engine? All I can find on the difference between a pro and amateur is the entry fee. Obviously the pro needs to bring the gear, but what else is there.

Does the in fisherman have certain criteria to be considered a pro or can virtually anyone with a sailable craft and $ do it?

"New" PWT Pro's do, in fact, these days, meet a certain criteria beyond money or the boat. A competitive fishing history, to an extent, has to be there. To get a specific answer, call Jim Kalkofin, at PWT. 218-829-0620 or at In-Fish 218-829-1648
