Does anyone have any opinions or experience w/ the inner cast rods you see in BPS or Cabelas? Are they for trolling or casting? Thanks

I have 8 of the white InnerLine rods from Cabelas that I use for downrigger fishing. I really like the rods except for two things:

1) The water fleas that accumulate on the line in Lk Michigan will gumm up in the tip top where it enters the rod. Not the rods fault but still a problem.

2) Feeding out a spoon can take too long as there is very little weight to pull out the line. Not too bad, but it is slower than a rod with eyes.

Iv'e got them and love them. The fleas will gum up regular rods too, at least the fleas on Lake Ontario.I use 40lb mono for salmon cause the fleas here are too small to hang on to it.9' heavy action innerflows make good all around planer/rigger rod.
