Just curious who is running an Alumacraft Navigator 175 Tiller with a 75 and what kind of performance are you getting?

Last spring I purchased a 2004 Nav. 175T that is underpowered with a 50HP Mariner. I knew this when I bought the rig but the price was right. Now, I am in, or near, the market to upgrade the 50 HP to a 75 HP and wondered what gains I might expect. With the 50 HP I am getting about 30 mph at WOT which is at about 4,500 RPM. I have not decided on 2 stroke, 4 stroke, E-Tec, Opti, or brand. just curious to know speed.

Thanks

I get about 34 mph with 2 guys and a kicker motor. I have a 4 stroke Yammie 75 with standard Al prop.

I have a Lund 1700 Explorer tiller powered by a 75 HP E-Tec. I'm running a PowerTech 13.25 x 16" OST prop (stainless). My WOT top speed with two guys and our gear is 39+ MPH GPS. I was running a 60 HP E-Tec untill last year. My WOT top speed was 29 MPH GPS. I think you should see close to thew same speed. If you check the Evinrude web site, there are performance reports for the 75 E-Tec on an Alumacraft Navigator.
