City launch is ice free and lake is open today. Haven't checked Bolles yet. Lake was a little muddy.
Checked out Sterling State Park yesterday and the launch still has some ice, but with this rain it should be gone quickly.
The lake will be very dirty for at about a week with this rain.

this is the one time of the year when I love to see it rain like this!!!!
Im gonna drive the launches and marinas tomorrow morning just to see how things look from Det to the Mi border
an every year ritual for me

Launched out of Bolles Saturday. Water out on thye lake was clear and fishable, had to dodge sheets of ice on the way back. This weekend should be good.

We fished for a while. Had one swing and a miss and caught one ready for this MUSKIE. We have never caught a muskie that far south. We will be giving it a try again this weekend.
