Avatar Image

I would like to put an avatar image on my posts. I've e-mailed several
people on this site that have them but they never e-mail back. Either
that or my e-mails aren't going thru. If anyone would care to share the avatar image secret I would appreciate it.

Go to your user preferences and you can add it there....

It's easier than I thought.

1. Find an image somewhere you like on a website
2. Right click on the image and select "copy image location".
3. Go to your profile edit and aste that location in on your profile in the appropriate spot
4. See if it looks alright. It might take some trial and error to find one that looks ok. Smaller images work better

I learned something new about this site today from Backwater Eddy.
I didn't know the e-mail he sent me was exclusive to this site. My
apologizes. I thought when you e-mailed someone on this site it came
back on your regular e-mail. And thanks to those who also posted on
the thread.

OK,

I'm going to acknowledge my computer ignorance / stupidity. How do I set up a web page on ATT as my ISP and then insert a JPEG or "whatever" - you tell me what the correct word is and then associate that with my responses on WC?

I'm guessing to those of you who know how to do it, you're afraid of talking down to us Geek-Bozos. Bring us along in this like you do in other WC topics. Please do so and then you might see some good cartoons beside our comments. Thanks.

Todd_NE has good directions above that will get you on track. You need to be registered first then edit from your personal preferences.

Tom you need to shorten the file image name. Be sure to clear the window before pasting in a new image address, I think that is what may have happened?

Thanks. But, I think my question (and maybe others too?) is how do I set up a web page and insert a personal Avatar image that I want? For example, I've created a reasonably nice "Atomic Eye" graphic that I've had made into T-shirt transfers but don't know how to get that e-copy onto WC. Thank you.
