Can you use the PTSV with a "non-Pinpoint" locator and mount the transducer externally? Will everything else still work? Will it spin and tangle the cord?

I use a Lowrance unit with an external transducer attached to the PTSv. I have had no interference or issues with either unit. Use cable ties on the cord and you shouldn't have issues with the cord twisting around the motor shaft.
