When is it, that the ice usually goes out on Okoboji and Spirit lake?

Clear Lake ice-out is usually around March 20 I believe. Okoboji/Spirit are not much farther north, I would guess ice-out would be about the same traditionally. I'll see if I can get more accurate info.
Perch are biting good up there.

I did some ice fishing this winter, but need open water.

WEST OKOBOJI ICE OUT...Some where around the first week or so of April...latest was near the last week of april. East okoboji, may be 10 days earlier...good luck

We were ice fishing on West O on April 6th last year. Should be about the same this year.

Not to argue but the water is a lot more dirty, in West at least, this year then last. It will warm faster because of this. I imagine ice will be all gone before April 6. The 7 day looks very warm. 3 days in a row in the 60s will knock it out relatively fast. Have a good one
