Bought another bunch of these last year and i have to say Bait Rigs messed up a good thing. I still love the jig itself, but i had 4 jigs break right out of the package. Any1 else have this problem or maybe it was just Bass Pro. The year before i bought them from Cabelas and had no problems with them.

Any1 know where u can get a mold for these Jigs?

I order directly from Bait Rigs and have never had that problem. You may want to try going straight through them. As far as a mold goes, I don't know.

Not sure what the jig looks like you are looking for. I would look on do-it molds or netcrafts web site to see if you can locate it. I make all of my jigs. Have made over 300 so far this year. I think I may have gotten kinda bored in jan and feb. Long story short, I like to make my own cuz I know what kind of hook I have used. I am not sure if the ones premade tell you that.

Thanks,
john Wayne

Bait Rigs is one of the most stand up companies in the fishing industry. If you let them know I'm sure they will make it right by you. They are one of the featered links on yhe products part of this site. E-mail them and let them know. I am kind of curious if they were plated or painted. They use a very high tech hook that is made just for them. It may be the most expensive hook in the industry.

I find the new jigs better than the old. It also pays to beware. I have seen really cheap knock offs being sold at shows. Someone made a cheap mold and added stinger hook eyes to the old style head. The new Odd Ball is a great jig IMHO. Bait rigs stands behind their product. Great guys.

ya i had a 3 break. all 3/8oz org/char.. at the barb closest to to head. i was setting my drag the first time. snapped picking up 2lbs. so i tried the rest. broke two more out of about 20. i contacted them and told them i would send them one if it would help. haven't heard so i guess they don't care. really like those jigs, but it makes you wonder, like what if its one for the wall!! good luck.

Baitrigs didn't have a choice in wether or not they changed the head design. They were forced to.

well

That's as may be, but what is your point? The jig is still a fine jig, and I do like it much better than the original style. The original style is a fine jig head as well, it was then it is now. But I like the new one better. Who cares why they changed it?

Hey CARPET BAGGER
I also had a bunch of oddball's that I picked up at a cabelas store
1/4-3/8 & 1/2 The hooks came off also.
I E-mailed them Bait-rigs CO. They had a Bunch go out with the hooks
In them heattreated wrong. They acknowledged this to me asked me
a few questions and more than made up for the ones that I purchased.
They UPS'd me a nice care package.
I think they are a Great CO. and the jigs are the best out today

They also sent me some of the new 5/8 & 3/8 odd ball's That they are
bringing out I fish the old Miss. and use them alot for three ways.

Slipknot, can you tell me what you meant when you stated that baitrigs had to change the head style on oddballs? Haven't heard why but knew they did change them. I figured this was just a "new improved" version. Just curious. I liked the old heads a lot but have not tried new style yet.

Look, you all took your shots at me, and remained annonymous, hmmmm. Anyway, go to this website, www.fin-techco.com In the last few years they really started pushing their stuff. Notice how their jig, the "Knuckleball" is the same exact desing as the old odd-ball, and on the package it says it is THE ORIGINAL and is patented. So my GUESS is that Baitrigs was forced because of the patent to change the style of the jig. And "Oh great one" look, I can't help how old I am, so just leave me alone alright, why must you judge me on my age? I really feel sorry for people like you, I really do. And I do post factual information here, and yes I do have a lot of knowledge of fishing from my brother and dad. Obviously, I don't get any knowledge from people like you, just critisism.

Carpetbagger, your darn right we can show these guys how to fish, just think with all the knowledge that is avaliable now from guys that have fished their whole life, we can learn from that and learn new things also. People who know me know I too can fish with the best of them. I have fished tournaments for 3 1/2 years now and I think we desrve respect. Good luck to everyone this year!

Hey Slipknot--you tell 'em. I only wish that I had started fishing tournaments at your age. I have met you and your brother on many occasions and I know you to be very cool people with informative information. Hope to run into again this year.

If you want to criticize the young man, why don't you use your regular WC handle on the post? Seems like most of the snotty comments around here are delivered via some anonymous name like "well" or "oh great one". Too bad the ip address function isn't on, we could match up the names to the posers.
