As a somewhat novice walleye angler, I would be interested in what more experiienced anglers are thinking about some of the new walleye lures available. What are the new lures that guys are excited about?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I am excited to try the new Puppet Minnow as a summer walleye lure. This style swimming lure has proven very effective for vertical jigging through the ice. However, I received some "inside information" that tourney walleye guys have started to use these lures with good success to vertical jig for deep-water fish in the summer and fall. I have traditionally fished big jigs and live bait rigs in the fall for walleyes holding in depths of 40- to 60-plus feet and am anxious to give these lures a try as well. The Puppet Minnow has three places the line can be tied to try different lure actions and they come in a bunch of baitfish imitating colors.
