I was looking forward to your Tournament at Mosquito lake in Ohio, until my wife informed me today that your tournament is the same day as Mothers Day. And if I still wanted to sleep in the house, I better really think hard about what Im doing that day. I was wondering if you were aware of this and maybe you could hold it on May 9th instead of the 10th? It will definatly put a damper on how many teams show up if it is on the 10th.

Yes, I knew it was on mothers day. I had it scheduled at another time, but the wrwa was having an event that same day elsewhere. With all the work I have been putting in to this event, I really wanted to make sure there wasn't another event scheduled, so every one could come and take a shot at the big payouts.
I thought about a saturday event, but being on Sunday, gives anglers a day prefishing without burning vacation.
This is the first year on my home lake we havn't had an event on mothers day. In the past, the wives and kids would show up, and it really seemed to go over ok. A lot of guys would take them out for a nice evening on Saturday.
I would use the old line, "Just think what we could do with $5,000.00 honey, and wouldn't you like a day without me in your way. etc.
Begging and pleading has worked well at times to.
