Does anyone know if there are new Lowrance GPS products out there with WAAS yet.

Yes there is, The new I Finder Hand Held is WAAS compliant as well as their X-15 and X-16's.

cabelas catalog doesnt say anything about waas on the x-15. what is"compatable"?doesnt it either have it or not?
GLobalMap 2400 and the new GlobalMAp 3000 have WAAS. The 3000's sold previously can be upgraded. Not sure of the price.

the 240/2400 doesnt say anything about WAAS either.
www.lowrance.com states: Global Map 2400 features: GPS/WAAS/MAPPING precision 12-parallel channel GPS/WAAS receiver.

I’m waiting for the WAAS compliant GPS package for my LCX 15MT. I received an e-mail from Clint at Three Rivers Marine. He contacted Lowrance yesterday, they said the Units will be shipped out the 25th of March. They should be posting a software upgrade for the fishfinder portion soon.

thanks Rick You're right. I wonder why they don't brag about that in the Cabela's catalog? Maybe it's a newer model. Hawg

The way I look at it, if you buy the LCX-15MT sounder/gps
package from dealers that have the regular models in stock
you will have to pay more to get the GPS receiver updated.
Best,just buying the Fish Finder, then purchase the GPS Mapping
Pkg. later when the WAAS units ship.

My friens that have them are not overly immpressed with the x-15mt. I'm going x-91,just sonar and global map 2400. The unit now has WAAS.I only wish it didn't have map creat 6 in it so I could still use the old cord and software. Checking w/ Lowrance to see for sure. Have always had great luck w/Lowrance products. hawg
Rick how do they add the waas pkg? do they send a new mother board or downloadit?
